Apex™ Laser

Apex™  Laser is used for laser hair removal

The Apex laser is used to remove unwanted hair. It emits a beam of light that is absorbed by pigment within the hair follicle, which destroys the growing hair follicle. Multiple procedures are required and are usually performed between 4-6 weeks apart. The number of treatments required will depend not only on the hair color, but also on the thickness of hair, and the patient’s skin type and tolerance. More closely spaced treatments will enable one to achieve his/her goal earlier, but will require more treatments.

Tanning for 6 weeks prior to and after treatment must be avoided. Shaving a day or two prior to treatment is encouraged, but waxing and/or tweezing should be avoided for 6 weeks prior to treatment. White or very light-colored hair will not absorb the laser light and cannot be effectively treated with this modality.
