UVA/UVB Light Booth
Ultraviolet A, ultraviolet B and narrow band ultraviolet all are useful in treating various skin conditions such as psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema and itching due to various causes, especially in elderly patients.
Psoriasis may also be treated with UVB or PUVA therapy. PUVA is the name applied to UVA treatment used in conjunction with a psoralen medication. The psoralen is taken 1 to 1 ½ hours prior to UVA exposure to increase the effectiveness of the ultraviolet therapy.
