VariLite™ Laser

The VariLite™ is actually two lasers in one. It has two separate wavelengths and is able to treat generalized redness and permanently dilated blood vessels of different sizes. The laser light is absorbed by oxyhemoglobin or the red component of the blood within the vessels. The generated heat helps to destroy the unwanted vessels, leaving skin intact. This laser is especially effective in treating blood vessels due to sun damage or acne rosacea. We expect a significant improvement after the first treatment unless the condition is very advanced with multiple layers of blood vessels. The number of treatments required to clear an area depends on the extent, size, and layering of the vessels. Post-treatment pinkness usually subsides within an hour.

The VariLite™ is also highly effective in removing angiomas, those small, red, circular lesions that can be scattered over the entire body. Most angiomas disappear with a single treatment.

The VariLite™ Laser works very well in diminishing poikiloderma, the reddish-brown discoloration on the neck and chest due to sun damage.

Redness due to acne is diminished with this laser and overall acne activity is reduced with 3-5 treatments.
