Treatement of Pigmented Lesions and Removal of Tattoos One common type of pigmented lesion, caused by excess sun exposure, is the lentigo, more commonly referred to as a sun spot, liver spot, or age spot. These spots can be removed by several different techniques, including liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, the Nd:YAG laser, chemical peels, and our skin renewal program. The Nd:YAG laser can treat even small spots accurately with virtually no chance of scarring or uneven pigmentation. Melasma is irregular, often unsightly pigmentation of the cheeks, forehead, and/or upper lip due to pregnancy, oral contraceptive agents or even your own natural hormones. This condition can be very difficult to treat. However, we have had a great deal of success eliminating this pigmentation using our skin renewal program. As tattoos are becoming more popular, so has their removal. Our Nd:YAG Laser is very effective in removing black, blue, and red pigments with minimal risk. Before & After Photographs
